problem starting in SKIN MODE

Until last night, WMP would remember the last state, either Full mode or Skin
mode, and would restart, once closed, in whatever mode it was closed with.
Now it will only start in Full mode and then I have to change to Skin
mode, an extra step. How can I get it to open again at the start, in Skin
mode?

Please help me, Mike

If you check items in WMP's Tools:Options, shut down the player and restart
it - are those items still checked?
