Okay, so you're not staying in skin mode as you want to. This indicates
that your HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Skins
registry area is either being reset or not being written to. After you shut
down the v9 player in skin mode, under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Skins
, the value "LastViewMode" should be 0x1. If you're using v10, the value
"LastViewModeVTen" should be 0x1. This isn't the case on your system - this
seemingly indicates either that your registry is corrupt or being reset.
You can determine which one by shutting down the player while it is in skin
mode. At that point, open regedit.exe and view the reg value I mentioned.
What value is it at this time?

Post by ocmykWhen I start WMP it is the normal big size.
When I want to get the compact modus I have to go to the skin map in windows
to choose a skin and then its working for the period WMP is playing.
When I stop playing and do somthing different and after a while or when the pc
was turned off I have to do the same all over again.
The compact modus I choose does not stay so that when I want to play compact
modus I can click the button and it's there.
I hope this is the information you'r looking for.
Greetings Ocmyk.
